Borrowing Course Reserves

Print Reserves

Books, media and other materials required for coursework can be placed in the Course Reserve Collection by faculty request.  To check items out from the Course Reserve Collection, please bring the call number for the item to the Circulation Desk.  The call number is available by searching by the name of the class or the instructor in the Library Catalog.

Loan periods for course reserves range from 2 hours to 7 days and are established by the faculty; course reserves are renewable on a case-by-case basis.

Electronic Reserves

Many course reserve materials are available online to current Simmons students and faculty.   Items available electronically will be indicated in the Library Catalog and can be accessed by logging in with a Simmons username and password.

  • Please note, after 7:00pm on weekdays and 5:00pm on Saturdays, a current Simmons ID is required for entry to Lefavour Hall. A current Simmons ID is required to access the building at any time on Sundays.
