Booking Media for Classroom Use
Faculty interested in classroom viewing of items from the Library’s Media Collection may chose either in-class manual playback or media services broadcasting.
Faculty should place any media planed for use in-class on reserve using the Reserve Request Form. Controlling access helps ensure that an item will be available when needed.
In-Class Manual Playback
Materials for in-class playback will be available at the Circulation Desk for Faculty to pick up at a specified date and time.
Items should be booked in advance (by 4:00 pm on the weekday before your pickup date) to ensure their availability. To book an item for a specific time, find it in the Library Catalog, then click the “Book This Material” link that appears above the item’s title.
For questions about booking media items, contact the Simmons Library Circulation Desk at 617.521.2786, or email@example.com.
Media Services Broadcast
To schedule a broadcast, Faculty should submit an online broadcast request form to Media Services at least five business days in advance of the broadcast. Media Services will arrange to have the media shown over the college’s Cable TV Broadcast System. Students can view broadcasts in the Media Viewing & Listening Room, L003 in the Library, or in a classroom that is booked through the Registrar’s office.
For questions about scheduling broadcasts, contact Media Services at 617.521.2765, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
