Native American Heritage Month
Native American Heritage Month
November is Native American Heritage Month. From the Library of Congress maintained website dedicated to the month: "What started at the turn of the century as an effort to gain a day of recognition for the significant contributions the first Americans made to the establishment and growth of the U.S., has resulted in a whole month being designated for that purpose."
Come browse our display of writings by and about Native American women as well as resources for educators and librarians. If you're looking for more ways to become involved on campus, visit the Simmons Multicultural Affairs page. Make sure to also check out the Library Multiculturalism guide for more resources available to you online.
