Kate Harper

Kate started her professional life with a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in computer science. Soon she was running large scale software development projects for Apollo Computer, where she began a continuing quest to find ways to lead people to extraordinary results while fostering individual satisfaction. Always an innovator, Kate helped found Peritus Software Services where she created a unique teaming methodology with guaranteed productivity improvements still used today. Kate's leadership helped grow Peritus from 5 to 500 people with over $46 million in sales and a successful IPO. After Peritus, Kate partnered with the leading world experts in virtual teams to develop powerful software and methodology for global distributed teams. Their pioneering work with Shell Chemicals Global Finance team was featured in the Harvard Business Review.
For the past five years Kate has devoted herself fulltime to coaching executives and developing leaders who want to excel while making a difference in their organizations. Her expertise, experience and wisdom have benefited organizations including Pfizer, Shell Chemicals, Accenture, Computer Sciences Corporation, Cleveland Regional Medical Center, China Grill Management, Lawrence Academy, Gentle Giant Moving Company, and Leapfrog Innovations.
A gifted teacher, Kate taught in the Masters of Management in eCommerce Program at Cambridge College and is on the faculty of the Foundation for Inspired Learning. She helped create the highly successful Coaching Skills for Educational Leaders Program for the Howard County Public School System.
Kate holds a B.S. in Engineering from Swarthmore College and a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois. She is a Professional Certified Coach and member of the International Coach Federation, is a graduate of the Masters Coaching Program through Coach For Life, and a Master Certified Inspired Learning Facilitator and faculty member for the Foundation for Inspired Learning.
On a personal note, Kate lives in Massachusetts with her husband, two teenage daughters and two dogs. She loves yoga, jazzercise, travel, and cooking. A lover of learning, Kate recently learned to dance the Argentine Tango and started singing with the Mystic Chorale. She feels she is doing what she was meant to do in this life, inspiring those who inspire others.
