Tan Le

A pioneer in the field of brain-computer interface, Tan Le is co-founder and CEO of EMOTIV. Her neuroengineering company advances understanding of the human brain through electroencephalography (EEG), with applications spanning industries from gaming and hands-free control systems to early detection of conditions such as autism. EMOTIV's award-winning technology is now in use by developers and researchers in over 100 countries. Le previously co-founded SASme, a wireless technology company providing short message peer-to peer (SMPP) platforms to telecommunication carriers and content aggregators in Australia, Asia, and Europe. Le was voted one of Australia's 30 Most Successful Women Under 30 in 1998 and has continued to garner accolades for her innovative work ever since. She has been named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and featured in Who's Who in Australia, Who's Who of Australian Women, and Fast Company's Most Influential Women in Technology. Le has served as an Ambassador for the Status of Women since 2001.
