Sue Phillips

Over her 30-year career in international media and business, Sue Phillips has brought her talents to a range of organizations in locations around the globe. She got her start in production at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and was later named CBC’s London Bureau Chief. After a stint at News World International, Phillips joined Al Jazeera and was ultimately promoted to Director of Foreign Bureaus, managing 25 offices worldwide. In 2010, Phillips became Director of Operations for the launch of the Doha Film Institute. In 2012, she went on to become Director of Films & Exhibitions at the National Museum of Qatar, commissioning production of films reflecting the history of Qatar. Long active in social and philanthropic circles in the UK, Phillips is a passionate conservationist and supporter of endangered species. She is also a founding director of London’s Frontline Club, a gathering spot for individuals interested in international affairs and independent journalism.
