Mary Robinson is currently President of the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice, a thought center for leadership, education and advocacy on sustainable and people-centered development in the world’s poorest communities. A transformative leader and outspoken activist, Robinson was the first woman to be elected President of Ireland. She also served as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and was founder of Realizing Rights: The Ethical Globalization Initiative, dedicated to putting human rights standards at the heart of global governance and policymaking. Among many other global leadership positions, Robinson is former President of the International Commission of Jurists and former chair of the Council of Women World Leaders. She currently serves on the boards of the European Climate Foundation, the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, and Sustainable Energy for All. In her compelling memoir, Everybody Matters, Robinson reveals the convictions and vision that have driven her lifelong pursuit of a fairer world.
