Mariane Pearl

Award-winning journalist and writer Mariane Pearl is managing editor of Chime for Change, a global platform that provides women and girls around the world the opportunity to tell their stories. She also teaches advanced journalism through Women-Bylines, a Chime for Change project dedicated to bringing marginalized women's voices to the forefront. A long-time contributor to publications such as The New York Times, Conde Nast Traveler, and Self Magazine, Pearl is perhaps best known for her internationally praised memoir, A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband, Daniel Pearl, which was made into a major motion picture. Her inspiring second book, In Search of Hope, profiles ordinary women from 18 countries that are doing extraordinary things. Pearl serves on the advisory boards of Women Moving Millions, Reuter's TrustLaw Women, and the World Bank's WEvolve campaign. She is also a member of the honorary board of the Daniel Pearl Foundation.
