Maria Medrano

Maria Medrano is a director in Cisco's global Office of Inclusion and Collaboration, leading a team that drives adoption and integration of inclusive behaviors, encourages best practices sharing, and works with executives to instill accountability and change. In this role, she oversees 10 employee resource organizations focused on diverse communities with the goal of bringing these communities together to learn from one other and to amplify their impact on the organization. Her professional activities also include mentoring first-generation college students and working with local schools to encourage students with an interest in technology careers. Long committed to the advancement of women, she is a founding co-leader of Cisco's Connected Women employee resource organization in the Sacramento area. Medrano is a recipient of a Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers Award from the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility, and was recently named on the Forty Under 40 list of up-and-coming leaders by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
