How to Use This Guide
This guide is more than a handbook for new students. This guide is a handbook for all students at GSLIS. From your first day on campus, and throughout your entire education experience at Simmons, it is our hope that this guide will shed light on some of the mysteries that commonly surround a new program of study at a new school. It is also our hope that this guide will be a one-stop source for hints, tips, and general explanations on how things work, and how to make things work better for you.
Current GSLIS students wrote this guide at different stages in their programs. We have all had our own "ah-ha!" moments when someone discovers a new resource, workshop, or even a flavored latte and decided to share. One of the best parts of attending GSLIS is the tight-knit student community and the freely shared information and opinions.
You can download the entire Spring 2007 edition of The Guide for GSLIS Students, or you can use the links below to download different chapters. (Please note: the Guide is undergoing revision. Look for an updated version in January 2010.)
