Archives Management Certificate
To request an application for the Archives Management Certificate program, please contact GSLIS Admission at 617-521-2868 or email@example.com.
Once you have submitted your application, you can check your application status. Please allow at least three business days for received documents to be reflected on your application status page.
In addition to this online application, you must submit the following items:
- Current resume
- Statement of purpose: In 500 words, please describe your career objectives and how GSLIS at Simmons could contribute to your meeting these goals. Please incorporate answers to the following questions:
- Why are you seeking a certificate in Archives Management?
- What are the most exciting challenges and opportunities in the archival professions today?
- All official transcripts related to your master's degree in Library and Information Science. Note: If you graduated from Simmons GSLIS you must have an unofficial copy of your transcrpt emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may request this from the Registrar's Office. For details, please visit the Registrar's Transcripts page.
After your application and supporting documents are received, your file will be sent to the Program Director for review.
The Program Director will conduct a brief interview (either in person or via phone) with the applicant to discuss the program, goals, and the applicant's possible course of study. After this interview, the Admission Office will notify the applicant about their application.
Completion of this application does not guarantee admission or enrollment.
