College Archivist, Head of Discovery Services, Simmons College Archives
Jason Wood is the associate archivist and records manager at the Simmons College Archives, where he also chairs the library's marketing and website teams. He is a 2001 graduate of the GSLIS program. A member of New England Archivists and the Society of American Archivists, Wood currently teaches LIS 456 - Managing Records in Electronic Environments as an adjunct faculty member.
At the Simmons College Archives, Wood works to acquire, maintain, and make available institutional records of permanent value, while also ensuring that the college's records and information resources are managed effectively and in compliance with all guidelines and best practices.
Wood is also pursuing a master's in communications management from Simmons and developed an Applied Learning Project in spring 2011 on innovative ways of integrating records and files management into employee and staff orientation and development.
