GSLIS West Library & Information Science (MS)
"The student body is really fun and collaborative; it's a total bonus to get to know such smart, dynamic people while working toward a degree. I'm very happy with the community feeling and intimate class sizes of GSLIS West."
Lexi Walters Wright '11LS
Simmons GSLIS has a satellite campus (Simmons GSLIS West) based at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA.
GSLIS West is a part-time program with classes offered on Saturday mornings and afternoons, as well as one Thursday evening course each semester. We offer an increasing number of online courses which allows students more flexibility in scheduling, and a richer selection of electives.
GSLIS West students enjoy the best of both worlds; access to all Simmons College student resources including library and technology as well as access and borrowing privileges at the Mount Holyoke College Library.
GSLIS West is well known for its community oriented campus and small face to face classes taught by GSLIS Faculty and distinguished professional librarians from around Western Massachusetts.
Although GSLIS West does not have a summer admission, classes are offered during the summer in both short-course and full-term formats.
