Rachel Rubin

Rachel Rubin is the Library Manager of Old Worthington Library in Worthington, Ohio. Previously, Rachel worked as a Graduate Reference Assistant at Kent State University, as an Adult Services Librarian for Worthington Libraries, and as the Assistant Manager of the Humanities and Fine Arts Division of Columbus Metropolitan Library's Main Library before returning to Worthington Libraries as a branch manager. She has a BA in English with a minor in Latin American Studies from Carleton College and an MLIS from Kent State University. In 2006, Rachel served as a trainer for OCLC Webjunction's Spanish Language Outreach Program and was a member of the first class of ALA Emerging Leaders. She is currently a member of the Ohio Library Council's Diversity Awareness and Resources Committee and serves on the Outreach and Special Services Division Action Council. At ALA Annual in 2009, she completes a two-year internship on the Council Committee on Organization. Her professional interests (aside from managerial leadership) include services to non-English speakers and technology in libraries.
