Deborah Froggatt

Title: Library Director, Boston Arts Academy, Fenway High School & Boston Symphony Orchestra Education Department

Deborah Lang Froggatt is the director of the library shared by two Boston Public Pilot Schools, Boston Arts Academy and Fenway High School, as well as the Boston Symphony Orchestra Education Department. She is also co-president of the Beverly High School Parent Teachers Organization, a member of the Boston Regional Library System's Advisory Board, and a member of the MA Board of Library Commissioners Public Relations Committee.

Her service in a multitude of library settings has prompted Ms. Froggatt to explore joint-use libraries - specifically school and public partnerships. Public schools, their libraries, and issues of access have been her professional passion for the past fifteen years. During five of these years, part-time reference work at Endicott College offered Ms. Froggatt opportunities to collaborate with academic educators and write grants procuring over $25,000 in federal and foundation funding. She has managed all levels of school libraries and has served as a trustee of her local public library, as a technology committee member for her children's school district's, as treasurer and vice-president of the Northeast MA Regional Library System, and facilitated numerous professional development workshops on information literacy including presenting at the MA Teachers Association Summer Conference. Ms. Froggatt has a BA in History from Miami University, an MA of Christian Education from Princeton Theological Seminary, and an MLS from Southern Connecticut State University.
