Patricia Kreitz

Title: Director, Technical Information Services Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, Stanford University


Patricia Kreitz is currently Director of Technical Information Services for the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, a national laboratory of the Department of Energy managed and operated by Stanford University. She is responsible for a diverse set of information management and delivery services including Web services and architecture, Publications and Media Services, the Archives and History Office, and the Library and HEP databases-the primary suite of online research databases used by the worldwide particle physics community. She holds an M.L.S. from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.S. in medieval history from the University of California at Davis. Before moving to science librarianship, she was head of General Reference Services in the Main (Graduate) Library at U.C. Berkeley and a collection development librarian for sociology, ethnic studies, and women's studies. She has written on scientific information management and is active in the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), a division of ALA.
