Rebecca Morris completed her Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Information Sciences. She studied digital storytelling in the school library and intermediate classroom in her dissertation research, and her current research interests include storytelling and digital storytelling; the educational preparation of school librarians; and children's and young adult resources, information seeking, and information literacy.

She has taught courses in school library and curriculum integration, school library management, young adult resources and services, and storytelling; she also supervises school library practicum students. Rebecca has a professional background in K-12 teaching and librarianship as an elementary classroom teacher and middle school librarian.

Rebecca earned her MLIS and School Library Certification from the University of Pittsburgh. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Kindergarten Education from The Pennsylvania State University, Schreyer Honors College. Rebecca is an active member of ALA Divisions AASL and YALSA, and she enjoys fitness, especially distance running.
