Martha Mahard has more than three decades of professional experience with the Harvard College Library System, including work in photography and visual collections at the Fine Arts Library, visual resources at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and the Harvard Theatre Collection of The Houghton Library. She has written numerous publications and presentations in the field of photographic archives and visual information. Mahard received her D.A. and M.S. from the Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science.

Lecturer in LIS 424 - Moving Image Collections in Libraries and ArchivesLIS 444 - Archiving and Preserving Digital Media, LIS 446 - Art Documentation, LIS 470 - Visual Communication, LIS 471 - Photographic Archives and Visual Information. Martha Mahard also teaches workshops for GSLIS Continuing Education.
