Beth Gallaway was named a Library Journal Mover & Shaker in 2006 for her work in advocating for videogames in libraries. She is an independent library trainer/consultant specializing in gaming, technology, and youth services, and is a YALSA certified Serving the Underserved (SUS) trainer. She has spoken at state and national library conferences, and has published articles in VOYA, YALS, Media Forum Online (the newsletter of the MA School Library Media Association), and YAttitudes, the newsletter of the Young Adult Library Services Association. Her book Game On! Gaming at the Library is available from Neal Schuman.

A former young adult librarian, Beth is one of only seven YALSA Serving the Underserved Trainers in New England. She graduated from Simmons with a Master's degree in Library and Information Science in 1998. Beth is an avid gamer, currently playing World of Warcraft, Sims 3 and Rock Band 2.
