Larry Cooperman is the library director at the Orlando, FL campus of Everglades University, a four-year college providing baccalaureate degrees in construction management, aviation management, alternative medicine, and business administration. He has been a librarian since receiving his MS from Simmons College in 2002, having previously worked as the library director at ITT Technical Institute (Jacksonville, FL) and as a media specialist at Seminole High School, Sanford, FL. He has served on the Northeast Florida Library and Information Network (NEFLIN) Continuing Education Committee from 2002 to 2004 (serving as Chair in his final year) and the Florida Library Association (FLA) Scholarship Committee from 2003 to 2006. He has presented a half-day workshop, IT Resources on the Internet for Librarians, at various locations; he also writes book reviews for School Library Journal, Reference & User Services Quarterly, and College & Research Libraries News. He is a full member of the Central Florida Library Cooperative (CFLC) and the FLA.
