Robin Brenner

Robin has been hanging around libraries pretty much since birth. In school through to Bryn Mawr College, she volunteered and worked in libraries and thought, "Hey, I can do that. I want to do that." She is currently working as the Teen Librarian in Brookline, MA. Her interests and vocation combine in her work with teenagers, and graphic novels have become her niche in the library world. She is the creator and editor in chief of the graphic novel review website, No Flying No Tights (www.noflyingnotights.com). She published "Understanding Manga and Anime", a guide to Japanese manga and anime, for Libraries Unlimited in June 2007, contributes reviews of Japanese anime to Video Librarian, manga to Booklist and graphic novels to The Horn Book. She presents workshops on graphic novels, manga, and anime for librarians and teens. She has also been lucky enough to serve on the Graphic Novel Task Force and was a judge for the 2007 Will Eisner awards.
