Simmons College

Steve Smith joined Wellesley college as its Preservation Librarian in 2002, and has served as the manager of the Collection Management and Preservation group since 2009. Before moving to the Boston area, he was the librarian at the Mannheim, Germany, campus of the University of Maryland University College. From 1995 to 1999, he was the preservation and imaging field services officer for the Amigos Preservation & Imaging Services, Amigos Bibliographic Council, Dallas, Texas. He has also developed and taught digital imaging workshops for Solinet (now part of Lyrasis), and from 1999 to 2004 served as the editor of Microform & Imaging Review. Steve began teaching LIS447: Collections Maintenance for Simmons College in 2006.
