Connie Schlotterbeck supervises students participating in LIS 499, the Practicum for grades 7 through 12.  She mentors students during their field experiences to ensure their success in the real world of education.  Upon completion of the Practicum students will be confident in instructional strategies and cross-curriculum collaboration.  They will be skillful teachers and effective administrators of school library programs.

Ms. Schlotterbeck is a retired High School Library Department Head who directed the library media programs at several public school districts in Eastern Massachusetts.  She was a Supervising Practitioner for a number of Simmons College GSLIS students.  She is a graduate of the University of Arizona.  She is co-author of Model School Rubrics, published by the Massachusetts School Library Association.  She also served in many capacities with MSLA including Chair of the Secondary Curriculum Committee.
