Anne has a B.A. in English and Spanish from Duke, an M.S.L.S. in Library and Information Science from UNC — Chapel Hill, and a Ph.D. in Educational Management and Development with emphasis in Higher Education Administration and Technology from New Mexico State University. She is currently Dean of Libraries at the University of South Dakota. Until summer 2007, she was Associate Director for User Services at UMass Amherst. She has worked in the libraries at the University of Arizona, George Mason University, New Mexico State University, and the University of Massachusetts, serving in leadership positions in all but the first. She also worked in campus administration at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She has taught software applications and information literacy courses at the undergraduate level. She teaches academic libraries and social science research methods at Simmons. She teaches educational administration courses at the both the graduate and undergraduate levels at the University of South Dakota. Anne's research interests include information literacy, assessment of library services, the impact of libraries on student learning, the learning commons phenomenon, and female leadership styles in higher education.
