Donia Conn is the Workshop Program and Reference Coordinator at the Northeast Document Conservation Center. She presents preservation, disaster planning and recovery workshops throughout the Northeast. She also talks to local institutions on preserving family collections. Donia answers calls on the NEDCC 24-hour Disaster Hotline, helping institutions in the face of disaster. As reference coordinator, Donia answers technical inquiries relating to preservation topic from around the world. She earned her MLIS with Advanced Certificate in Conservation from the University of Texas-Austin and has interned with Tony Cains at Trinity College, Dublin and J. Frank Mowery at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington DC. She worked as a rare book and paper conservator in academic institutions across the US before joining NEDCC.
