Ellen Carey has been Library Co-Coordinator at Greenfield Community College since 2006. Prior to coming to Greenfield Community College, Ellen served as Reference Librarian at Mount Holyoke, where she coordinated a Mellon Foundation-funded program to recruit undergraduates from underrepresented groups into librarianship, and completed a research project on student use of library spaces that led to minor renovations.

Ellen's professional interests include information literacy programming and assessment, outreach, and library space design, as well as employing educational technologies in information literacy instruction.

Ellen has a BA in critical social thought from Mount Holyoke College, and received her MSLIS from Simmons in December 2004, having completed most of her coursework at GSLIS West. She received the Western Campus Leadership Award at the GSLIS commencement ceremony in May 2005.
