Student Intern Project Archivist to Survey Holdings
The Archives of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts is a small, independent archive housing records of the organization and three smaller affiliated organizations.
Position: Student Intern Project Archivist
Project: The Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts seeks a Student Intern to work as a Project Archivist performing a collection-level survey of the archival holdings of the organizations. The project will use an existing database to map locations, verify basic collection information, and assess condition and accessibility of holdings. The project will permit some work schedule flexibility and may provide and opportunity for continued work on the project after the internship.
Professional Archivist oversight with performance evaluation in will conform to the GSLIS Program requirements for credited internship.
Requirements: The successful applicant should have completed the basic course in Archival Management. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Excel, and Word and the ability to lift 40 pound boxes required.
