Full-time Doctoral Student, GSLIS, Simmons College
Juliet came to the doctoral program at Simmons after 15 years self-employment, writing grant applications for non-profits and municipalities and business planning for startups and small businesses. The siren song of cataloging was too strong and so she is back to work on a dissertation that will examine cataloging means and metadata. She is very interested in the pedagogy of LIS as well. Her MSLIS was earned at Simmons.
She is a member of the ALISE Award for Professional Contribution to Library and Information Science Education Committee and a TA for LIS 415. She serves on the board of directors of her local library trust and frequently volunteers in the technical services department there.
