Jessica Sedgwick is the project archivist for the Archives for Women in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, where she works to acquire, process, and promote the archival collections of women leaders in the Harvard medical community. She also works with her colleagues in the Center for the History of Medicine to organize departmental events, exhibits, and digital projects and has contributed to a processing metrics initiative aimed at understanding and assessing archival processing workflows. Sedgwick is active in New England Archivists (NEA) and the Society of American Archivists (SAA).

After earning her MLS at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008, Sedgwick worked as manuscripts processor at UNC's Southern Historical Collection, a position focused on collections that document African-American history and the civil rights movement in the American South. She is passionate about preserving and sharing archival collections of under-documented and under-represented groups and about finding innovative ways to promote and provide broad access to these resources for both new and traditional audiences.
