Eric Poulin is the coordinator of library services at Greenfield Community College. Prior to coming to GCC, he was a librarian and squash coach at the Williston Northampton School in Easthampton. He has also been a bartender for more than 16 years. He holds a bachelor's in communication studies from the University of Massachusetts and a master's in library and information science from the University of Rhode Island.
His professional interests include information literacy instruction, planning, and assessment, as well as advocating on behalf of small rural libraries. He has been very active in many statewide and regional organizations, having served as president of both the Western Massachusetts Regional Library System and the Western Massachusetts Library Advocates. He has also served on the executive board of the Massachusetts Library System and is the current vice president of the Public Library Association of Easthampton.
Poulin is a lifelong resident of Easthampton, where he lives with his partner, Gabriela; their dog, Monte; and their cat, Ronin. His personal interests include being a struggling songwriter, watching English football, playing tennis, and completing his third marathon when his bad foot finally heals.
