This is a full-time, professional level position requiring a Masters of Library Science from an ALA accredited institution, six years of library experience at a supervisory level and three years of experience in fundraising, grant writing or development.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strength in written communication and program planning, success in grant writing and external fundraising, written and verbal communications skills, the ability to set priorities and work with frequent interruptions, strong interpersonal skills, organization, procedural and public relations proficiency, and an ability to develop and maintain a rapport with the public, as well as an ability to supervise and secure the cooperation of the staff.

QUAL: An MLS from an ALA accredited library school plus library experience working with children birth through middle school. In addition, knowledge of children's literature, program planning experience, reference skills and familiarity with computers a plus.

DUTIES: Planning and conducting story times and programs, reader's advisory and reference services, collection development and cataloging, and circulation desk duty in an active and growing Children's Room.
