Dual Degrees

Several programs are available to students interested in earning two degrees concurrently. Each has its own application process and requirements.


Archives Management and History (M.S./M.A.)

The school offers a dual-degree leading to a master of science in library and information science (archives management concentration) and a master of arts in history. In addition to fulfilling the admission requirements for the Master's degree, applicants to the Dual-Degree Archives Management & History (M.S./M.A.) Program will need an interview, and to provide a 5-7 page academic writing sample  (if you do not have an academic writing sample, please contact the History Department to discuss a possible substitution for your submission).


Library Science and Children's Literature (M.S./M.A.)

The dual-degree in Library and Information Science and Children's Literature is offered in conjunction with the College of Arts and Sciences Graduate Studies. For information on applying, please visit the program page on the CASGS site »


Bachelor of Science/Master of Science (B.S./M.S.)

The dual-degree program for students pursuing an undergraduate degree in the sciences and a master's degree in library and information science is offered in conjunction with the College of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Studies. For information on applying, please visit the program page »
