Use the links to the right to explore information related to Advising Day. More information, including FAQ for new students, is located in the New Students section of the site. If you have any questions after exploring the pages linked on the right, please contact gslisstudentservices@simmons.edu.
New students receive an email containing more detailed information about Advising Day typically within a month of making a deposit. If you have already made a deposit, but have not yet received this email by two weeks prior to Advising Day, please contact gslisstudentservices@simmons.edu; prior to making this deposit, however, please continue to direct your questions to gslisadmin@simmons.edu.
Advising Day — Boston Campus
Boston Campus Advising Days are held for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Advising Day is a full-day event and you should plan to be here for most of the day!
The RSVP link included in your deposit confirmation email from Admissions should be used to indicate whether or not you will attend Advising Day.
Fall 2012 Advising Day will be held on Wednesday, July 11 and Thursday, July 12, 2012. Students only need to attend one of these Advising Day programs. Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. and our morning program will begin at 9:00 a.m.
Distance Advising and Late Deposits
Students who are unable to attend the Fall 2012 Advising Day program will have until Friday, June 15, 2012 to submit their RSVP in order to receive the most timely information and service on distance advising.
Those who reply or deposit after Friday, June 15, 2012 will be provided with information on either Advising Day or distance advising, depending upon time allotted.
Advising Day Preparation Materials
At check-in on Advising Day, students will receive an information packet. Those who need to do distance advising will be sent this information via email. In addition, we encourage you to look at the GSLIS Guide, a handbook created by students for students.
