ALLEN SMITH

Allen SmithAssociate Dean and Professor

Dean Smith lectures in reference, humanities, and oral history. He cowrites the column "Guide to the Professional Literature" in The Journal of Academic Librarianship. Smith is an authority on the history of the Appalachian Dulcimer, and he has lectured and written often on the subject. Prior to joining Simmons in 1978, Smith lectured at the College of Librarianship in Aberystwyth, Wales, for nearly ten years.
