Simmons College

Dear Simmons Community:

The Alumnae Association of Simmons College is pleased to offer a seventh year of Centennial Grants, which will support undergraduate programming on campus. The maximum award amount is $1,000.

The Simmons College Alumnae Association Centennial Grants were introduced in 2005 in honor of the Association's 100th anniversary. Grants will fund undergraduate initiatives that enhance community development and support the College's strategic focus, initiatives, and mission. 

Consideration will be given to applicants whose proposals include innovative events or programs that will enrich the Simmons undergraduate community by supporting Strategy 2015 initiatives and/or that support the Simmons Mission: "Where academic and real-world experience prepares undergraduate women and graduate students for rewarding lives and career success." Grants awarded are for second-semester use only.

Eligible participants include: individual undergraduate students, undergraduate faculty and staff; undergraduate student groups (clubs and dorms); undergraduate academic departments; and staff organizations. The number of awarded grants will vary based on the quality of applications. The maximum award amount is $1,000.

A complete application consists of:

1. The completed two-page cover document
2. A narrative no longer than two pages (guidelines on application)
3. A detailed budget on the spreadsheet provided
4. Submitting one electronic copy to the Alumnae Association (info below)

Grant application deadline: Monday, October 31, 2011 at 4:30 p.m.
