Seminar in Early Americ. Hist

4 sem hrs. Prereq.: At least two history courses and consent of department for undergraduates. Enrollment normally open only to juniors, seniors, and graduate students. Topics vary each year. Focuses on varied developments in New England, the Middle Colonies, and the South during the 17th and 18th centuries, with special attention to political institutions, social structure, race relations, and gender roles.
