Oh no! I missed Free Response Friday again!

Apparently there is actually a blog called Daleks of the Day.

This past weekend was a blur of travel as I returned from Hawai'i with my family. I'm currently at my parents' house in western New York, where I feel like I can finally relax until classes start.

Before I forget: Happy New Year, everyone!

s.e. smith, whom, as I've said a million times, I admire, has a new post musing anxiously about fat hatred and new year resolutions.

I'm also wary of the usual "resolutions," but I have new year's hopes and ambitions. I'm going to begin a guest bloggership for Bitch Media tonight, actually, so hopefully my first post there will be up within the next couple of days. I'll link to my posts here as I see them go up. My blog will run for 24 posts from now through February, and will be titled "Double Rainbow," as it will focus on my perspective as a lesbian on the autism spectrum. (Yep, I named it as a reference to the meme.)

I'm looking forward to my classes for this coming semester as well, and I very much hope that I get into the GWCS course on "Body Narratives in Popular American Film." Recreationally, I also hope to write more fiction this coming year. (As far as I can tell, my fiction is pretty atrocious, but writing it is a satisfying past-time.)

What are your hopes and ambitions for 2012?
