Curric for Early Chld Class

4 sem. hrs. Prereq.: Stage I and two courses in child development. Explores early childhood programming (birth through age eight), focusing on the importance of physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Emphasizes adapting materials and methods to the needs of each child, including those with special needs. Discusses room arrangement and adaptations, equipment uses, sensory and creative experiences, dramatic play, and curriculum. Requires participation in workshops and field placement.
