Many MCM students are in communications-related fields, although increasing numbers of managers from non-communications areas are entering the program. Their creativity and intelligence energize the classroom and build a dynamic professional network. Here are some of the organizations and positions they represent.
Every semester the MCM program hosts a number of networking events, including the Breakfast Lecture series. Past lectures have included timely topics such as: "Communication Challenges in a Virtual World: Leading Virtual Teams", "Surviving a Layoff", "Corporate Social Responsibility: Building Community Relationships", and "What it Takes to Build a Business". You'll also find networking opportunities right in the classroom. MCM professors often comment on the camaraderie they see among their students. The beginning of every MCM class at Simmons looks and sounds like a networking event! And the MCM network continues after you graduate.
