Sr. Communications Coordinator

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Communications, the Sr. Communications Coordinator supports enterprise-wide projects and functions, ensuring deadlines and brand standards are consistently met. This highly visible position requires a resourceful, detail-oriented, multi-tasker who represents the company and the Communications department well in frequent interaction with senior management, vendors and a wide range of employees.

Duties Include:

The primary accountabilities for this position include: 

1. Support executive speeches/presentations, including preparing and/or editing PowerPoint slides, coordinating all presentation-related logistics(except executive travel), and providing on-site support within the U.S.
2. Manage internal on-line promotional merchandise store (for employee & franchisee use), including helping to select, monitor and manage promotional merchandise; ensuring the internal online store is consistently
updated and inventory levels are managed appropriately; and tracking internal purchasing of promotional items.
3. Oversee production of enterprise-related design projects, such as banners, non-marketing ads (i.e., public affairs/CSR support), invitations, stationery and brochures.
4. Provide event planning support, including gathering and cataloging artwork/graphics, producing event materials, helping with set-up and on-site logistics.

Requirements:

The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to the
following:

1. 1-2 years related experience
2. Excellent organizational skills
3. Strong design sense
4. Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
5. Strong sense of urgency, ability to multi-task effectively and bring projects to a successful closure within fast-paced environment
6. Understands effective project management and has some project management experience
7. Proficient with Microsoft office (especially MS PowerPoint) and other applications, e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and Oracle, as well as design related applications Adobe, Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark.

Program Director, Membership Relations
Employer: MACC, Medford, MA

Job Description:
Massachusetts Campus Compact (MACC) is a nonprofit coalition of college and university presidents committed to developing the civic skills of students, building partnerships with the community, and integrating civic engagement with teaching and research.  Massachusetts Campus Compact's work encompasses a broad range of activities designed to increase the effectiveness of those working to make higher education institutions vital agents of civic renewal.

MACC has an immediate full-time opening for a staff member whose primary responsibilities will be to focus on member campus relationships; information sharing and analysis; and communication materials related to advancing civic engagement.   This position is part of the Executive Director's leadership team and will serve as a resource expert on member campus profiles, assets, and fund development.

Duties Include:
Communication and Networking
•    Design and implement a membership mapping project and analyze resulting data and information.
•    Represent MACC at various functions and conduct statewide member visits;
•    Produce written documentation of campus civic engagement efforts i.e., reports, member stories, web content and fact sheets related to member activities and initiatives;
•    Seek and promote strategic collaborations between member campuses
•    Work closely with the AmeriCorps* VISTA Program Coordinator to plan a strategic communications initiative that leverages the visibility of MACC members on the state and national level;

Organizational planning and fundraising
•    Identify and assist with grant proposal initiatives as needed for MACC
•    Participate in strategic planning initiatives
•    Serve on leadership team as the expert on campus member assets and training needs
•    Strengthen and develop relationships with external organizations that add value to the organization and its 75-campus membership;

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Provide guidance and oversight to consultants, graduate students, and undergraduate students working on member asset mapping project
•    Lead working committees related to membership development
•    Travel required

Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Required. Masters Degree preferred.  Knowledge of service-learning and the higher education field.  Experience with campus and community partnership programs; Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication with a diverse audience; Experience in creating strong working relationships; Strategic thinking with the ability to identify future initiatives that maximize the impact of the MACC membership.

Preferred Qualifications
Program coordination; grant writing and development experience; Competent in producing communication materials;   Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
