Job Description:
Write, edit, proof, and produce mid-level Wentworth publications such as the bi-monthly e-newsletter news@Wentworth, fundraising pieces (invitations, brochures, post cards), and promotional pieces for admissions. Work collaboratively with all departments (admissions, athletics, development, etc.) to develop content of these publications. Attend and photograph all noteworthy campus events. Write articles on these events, obtaining quotes from attendees. Maintain campus events database, updating Director, Editor/Writer, and PR/Media Manager. Format photographs for the web to create photo galleries. Write short email message to send with link to photo galleries. Liaise with professional photographers regarding scheduling photo shoots for Wentworth events. Conduct photo shoots. Maintain Wentworth's large photography collection and corresponding database. Respond to requests for photographs. Create and maintain filing system of Wentworth's marketing and communications documents (brochures, magazines, media articles). Fulfill marketing support needs including processing paperwork, invoices, and maintaining files from vendors and outside corporations. Maintain database of Institute advertisements. Request data lists for mailing of publications. Create and implement Wentworth-wide process for requesting collateral materials including photographs, images, and other graphic identity tools; editorial support, including copywriting, copyediting, proofreading; and design, printing, and graphic identity guidance.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in English, Literature, or Journalism is required.

Boston focused on strategically growing quality youth mentoring through
a network of 130+ programs statewide, is looking for a creative and
versatile communications professional to join its team as Manager of
Public Awareness & Communications.
In this role, the person will manage the evolution of a recently
redesigned Web site, create and implement media relations strategies,
oversee and collaborate on high-profile campaigns (including an
award-winning initiative with the Boston Red Sox), and develop a new
media strategy.
Established in 1992, Mass Mentoring is entering an exciting stage of
growth, and needs a self-motivated, top-notch communications staff
member to help execute its new strategic plan. The position is a great
opportunity for someone interested in working at a nonprofit in a more
advanced communications role, and who desires flexibility, as well as a
friendly and supportive work environment.
Requirements:
Applicants must be excellent writers (in a variety of formats) and have
at least three years of professional work experience that includes
Webmaster responsibilities, media relations and creative project
management. Web publishing, experience pitching stories, and an eye for
graphic design is important; knowledge of HTML is a major plus. Start
date will be no earlier than July 14, 2008.

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS), founded in 1823, is a coeducational college offering graduate, professional and undergraduate degrees in the health sciences. As a private and independent institution with a long and distinguished history, the College provides traditional and non-traditional programs of study that serve the needs of the community. With campuses in Boston and Worcester, Massachusetts and Manchester, New Hampshire, the College enrolls approximately 3,200 students, who are drawn from 35 states and 34 foreign countries, and employs over 300 faculty and staff. MCPHS is currently accepting applications for the Director of Advertising & Marketing for Admission. The purpose of this position is to support the College's overall marketing goals and help to sustain its "market identity".
Duties Include:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Admission, the incumbent will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Admission advertising / marketing / search efforts for all three MCPHS campuses. The incumbent will work with faculty, deans, research, and recruitment staff to identify the most effective form of communication in order to meet enrollment goals.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Communications and/or Higher Education, and an understanding of the principles of design, as well as significant experience with electronic media such as blogs and podcasts. At least three years of professional experience in Advertising, Public Relations, or a Communications firm is desired. Experience in an Admission or Communications office at a college or university would also be a plus.
