Curriculum Developer (Contract Position)
Employer: The Playful Invention Company, Boston, MA

Job Description:
The Playful Invention Company (PICO) is an innovative educational technology startup, created by a small group of internationally renowned educational researchers and designers. In 2006 the company successfully launched its first product, the PicoCricket Kit, a creative construction kit for children, based on research from the MIT Media Lab. PICO is now looking to contract with a creative instructional designer to write and develop PicoCricket curriculum and support materials for educators and workshop facilitators. Contract length is 6-12 months, but could be extended to work on additional projects.



Duties Include:
Develop inviting, high-quality PicoCricket curriculum materials. Write project guides, technical guides, and curriculum guides as well as other support materials; curriculum will be used by teachers and workshop facilitators working with children 8 years and older

Develop a framework for assessment and evaluation of PicoCricket activites, based on national and international standards

Coordinate efforts with graphic designer to create clear, easy-to-use, and visually effective materials

Test prototype materials with users and revise based on feedback

Requirements:
Proven experience developing instructional materials for teachers and/or workshop facilitators

Expertise in educational technologies and creative approaches to learning

Experience developing materials for use in schools as well as after-school, museum, and/or home environments

Familiarity with national and international education standards for K-12

Excellent writing skills

College degree or equivalent experience

Strategy and Project Manager
Employer: Trinity Communications, Boston, MA

Job Description:
Trinity is looking for a mid-level account services person who can play a-hands-on role on a number of active client relationships, largely financial services accounts. In this position, the associate will be responsible for internal and client project management, supporting the strategy practice through research, strategy development, and client presentations and managing clients and projects through creative development of tactical tools.

Duties Include:
To be effective in this role, the ideal candidate must be self motivated, interested in financial services, and be familiar with general business management ideas. This job will require superior writing skills for proposals, whitepapers, presentations and other communications. Also requires thought leadership capabilities, people skills, analytical capabilities, project management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
The job requires client interaction as well as internal team management. This includes developing and managing complex project schedules, being accountable to internal processes and deadlines, working with senior-level agency and client contacts, interacting with a broad range of account players from designers to writers to web programmers.

Requirements:
Ideal candidate will have approximately 5 years in marketing, preferably with financial services experience. Broad based business experience also desirable. Prior agency experience not necessary. A background in journalism or market research of interest, as is an MBA.
