Webmaster
Employer: Caritas Christi Health Care, Brighton, MA

Job Description:
Caritas Christi Health Care, New England's second largest health care system, is looking for a webmaster to serve as the primary project manager and editor for the Caritas Christi website.  Reporting to the director of publications and working with communications officers at six member hospitals and five affiliated organizations, the webmaster will have primary responsibility for managing all aspects of editorial content posting and daily maintenance of website.  This individual will develop original content and edit existing content to ensure web copy is clear, well organized, accurate, and consistent across the site.  The webmaster will initiate and oversee the use such web-based formats as podcasting, vodcasting and blogging, acting as the system resource for use of broadband media.  The webmaster will manage the introduction of unique urls and landing pages for advertising campaigns. He/she will track and analyze usage and act as the main liaison with our vendors, Greystone, Staywell Communications and Photobooks. 

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in English or communications. Three to five years of editorial experience.  Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills; must have ability to communicate ideas to the general public in a concise and engaging manner. An up-to-date understanding of Internet technology and opportunities. Familiarity with online content management systems helpful, but not required.  Demonstrated project management experience. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a variety of internal clients, identifying problems and offering solutions. Self-starter with team orientation. Experience in health care environment a plus.

Online Communications Manager
Employer: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA

Job Description:
Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the DF/HCC website. Gatekeeper for all editorial and design changes made to website. In addition to being a resource and advisor for 35+ content managers working regularly to update the site using only the highest editorial and design standards, will handle daily questions about content positioning, navigation, and any issues that may arise. Directly responsible for planning/creating/and integrating new content areas, features, and functionalities. In addition to maintaining website, will be responsible for developing web graphics and online and email-based initiatives, including assisting in creation/production/and dissemination of both a weekly and quarterly newsletter. Will also assist in ensuring DF/HCC's graphic standards are adhered to and design print materials as needed. Overall, will work with Director of Communications to craft online strategies to communicate more effectively to/with our audience. Works within the DF/HCC Communications Department to accomplish the following: Train and advise content managers in Typo3, our content management system, including meeting with new and existing content managers on a regular basis to make sure that Typo3 is meeting their editorial and design needs, write/edit/maintain a user guide, inform content managers about upgrades, gather any concerns and suggestions for discussion/action, and work with back-end users to identify and define new or enhanced functionalities. Maintain the DF/HCC website and front-end user experience, including providing 'Help Desk' support for end users (troubleshooting and responding to emails), upload content, files, and images as necessary, set up mailing lists, password-protected areas and other custom features for users. Ensure the website meets highest editorial and design standards by creating and editing announcements updating DF/HCC calendar with latest events, upholding graphic and web-content standards, and researching and informing interested parties about feature enhancements. Using existing software, monitor and analyze website statistics. Create/maintain online and email campaigns, including developing web graphics, edit, lay out and disseminate the weekly and quarterly newsletter, and track open-rate and click-thru statistics for email campaigns. Work with Director to create and implement communications strategies and vehicles, including developing.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree. Experience using open-source content management systems, 2-3 years experience implementing websites using HTML and CSS, 2-3 years with Web page design and site maintenance, interest in open source software, basic graphic design and graphics software skills (packages such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver), 1-2 years writing or editing experience, preferably for web. Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; provide quality service to both front- and back-end users. Able to clearly and concisely explain information about website/technical material to a variety of audiences.

Media Relations Manager
Employer: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA

Job Description:
An integral part of the Media team responsible for developing media plans that promote Dana-Farber's clinical and research expertise; assisting in the development of media strategies; responding to media inquiries; writing and distributing press releases; developing and managing strong relationships with national reporters; coordinating media training programs; assisting with a variety of managerial issues.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, 7+ years of high-level media relations, of which a significant portion is in healthcare communications. Must be an excellent writer and have strong editing skills.

Director of Editorial and Creative Services
Employer: Dana-Farber Caner Institute, Boston, MA

Job Description:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Communications, the Director of Editorial and Creative Services will lead a staff of 14 to support the DFCI Communications Department's efforts to strengthen Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's reputation, help the organization function more effectively, and support patients. The Director will help lead a transition, already underway, from a traditional print publications function to a broader editorial and creative approach generating high-quality content and materials for a wide range of distribution channels. Essential functions include: Lead a staff of 14 writers, editors, and designers that also includes photography and production personnel. Plan and coordinate an extensive print publications program, including production of regular periodicals such as staff newsletter, bi-annual magazine, and a wide variety of collateral materials for clients throughout the Institute.

Requirements:
Experience as senior publications professional and effective leader of editorial/design staffs. At least 10 years of professional writing, editing and publications experience. An ability to translate complex medical and scientific information into clear and understandable language that will interest readers in all DFCI constituencies
