» MCM 2006 Graduate Reception

On Friday, May 19, 2006, the College of Arts and Sciences hosted a reception for all students graduating from CAS graduate programs. Joan Abrams, Director of the Master’s in Communication Management program, invited all MCM students to join her for a champagne reception just prior to the CAS party. Many of our graduates were able to join us along with their family and friends. We spent the afternoon in one of the new classrooms in the Communications Department in the New Library building. There were corsages to be handed out and lots of champagne to go around. Joan presented the Beltz Prize to graduate Sandra Hunt for outstanding academic merit and the Bernstein Service Award to MCM alumna, Carolyn Grimes for above and beyond service to the MCM program. It was a wonderful celebration that eventually led us to the Linda K. Paresky Center, where we joined the rest of the CAS graduate programs to celebrate their achievements on the eve of Commencement 2006.
