The master’s degree programs in English, Gender/Cultural Studies, and Spanish do not require the results of a standardized admission test (GRE or MAT), but rather place great emphasis on the admission portfolio as a method of determining an applicant’s ability to do successful graduate-level work. The GRE/MAT is required for Children’s Literature. However, applicants to the program may waive this requirement if they hold a master’s degree.
