2007 Summer Institute In Children's Literature Registration Now Open

The Summer Institute in Children's Literature, held every other year, is an intensive long weekend program that offers students an opportunity to meet with authors, illustrators, editors, and others committed to the study of children's literature. This year's institute theme is "Food, Glorious Food" and will explore the role of food as metaphor as well as its literal appearance in children's books. Spotlight: Simmons Student Wins National Songwriting Competition

Simmons senior Daniela Blau recently reached a music career milestone when her song "Y Si No Lo Sabes" captured the prestigious BMI peermusic Latin Scholarship. The Costa Rica native accepted the award during the BMI Latin Awards ceremony in Los Angeles in June. Listen to her award-winning song.
