We know that the financial aid process can be daunting, but we're going to tell you what you need to know about financing your student's education and why we believe a Simmons education offers you the best return on your investment. And we should know. Simmons has been preparing students for successful careers and meaningful lives—our central mission—for more than 100 years.
Student Financial Services works with students and their families to help manage the cost of college. Our diverse student body represents a healthy mix of socio-economic backgrounds—approximately 75 percent of first-year undergraduate students receive some form of financial assistance.
Financial Aid
Academic excellence and financial need are used to determine each student's financial-aid package. Academic merit awards for Undergraduates range from $5,000 to full-tuition awards, and a variety of aid is available for Graduate students.
You don't need to submit a CSS/PROFILE to apply for aid from Simmons. Just submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for scholarships, loans, grants, and federal work-study. Federal income tax returns will be requested if you are chosen for verification. Please contact Student Financial Services for important notes about applying for aid.

Financial Responsibility for First-timers
Learning to balance and live on a budget can be difficult for students. College may be the first time students find themselves paying their own bills, balancing a check book, or managing credit cards. Some students find themselves unprepared to deal with the huge responsibility of money management. You, as a parent, can be a good source of financial information and may be able to provide helpful advice. Simmons also offers several resources and programs to help students manage their money while at school.
