Welcome to Simmons College! We are delighted your daughter has decided to become a member of the Simmons community. This Parents and Families website has been designed to serve as a resource for you and is intended to supplement the information you and your daughter receive from a number of departments at Simmons. It describes some of the areas of the college that might be interesting to you and presents answers to some of the questions most frequently asked by parents.
The transition to college and the changes that take place during college years are both exciting and challenging for students and their parents. Although there is no "standard" way in which students grow and develop, there is one thing that is predictable: students do change as a result of their college experiences. At Simmons, we believe that a student who enrolls with us is and should be responded to as a young adult. However, we fully realize and appreciate that parental guidance is an essential part of the student's growth process. We encourage your involvement and thank you for all that you do to support your student — and for helping us to carry on our mission of student success at Simmons.
