Associate Professors Jeffrey Pomerantz and Lisa Hussey present an information session on a course being taught this summer at Yonsei University in South Korea. You can join the sessions on campus or online via GoToMeeting. The sessions will be recorded for future viewing.

The two-week course, LIS 445, will cover the theory and practice of metadata as it is applied to digital collections. It will provide students with a comprehensive overview of current metadata standards in the library, archives, and visual resources communities and offer them an opportunity to get hands-on practice using selected standards. It will examine the role of metadata in the discovery, delivery, administration, and preservation of digital objects and consider current and emerging issues in metadata.
