Join us for an informal information session about this year's Simmons World Challenge, Would I Lie to You? Democracy and Civil Engagement.

Simmons World Challenge (SWC) is a program exclusively for sophomores and is designed to empower students with the knowledge and skill set necessary to tackle social problems facing local, national and global communities. This is a student-led experience where you will work in teams, with support from faculty, community partners and special guests, to collaboratively design an actionable solution to a pressing social issue.

SWC is offered as a two-credit course during the winter session, that includes three mandatory meetings during the Fall semester and one final session at the start of the Spring semester. Participants receive a $1,000 stipend, on-campus housing and meal vouchers during the winter session, and two credits toward the Spring student load.
